For my final semester in school for Photography, I have to submit 5 of the best images from the past 2 years that I’ve been in school. This task is definitely harder than I had realized and I spent an enormous amount of time, energy, and analysis throughout my entire collection of work from the past 2 years. I finally chose the 5 that I wanted and that was just the beginning. To prepare an image for a portfolio critique or show, you have to inspect every inch of the photo. Some thoughts that go through my head: “..what is it missing?, are there any areas that need to be retouched still?, any spots or weird tones, things I didn’t see before? angles…etc.” It’s so much to think about. I will not be relieved until I have turned in everything and the show is over and I no longer have anything school-related to do. I’m really looking forward to that moment and I can’t believe it’s almost here.
