I have been doing many photo restorations recently and I just wanted to share the most recent one. This is a single photo from a photo booth strip. Not the worst one I’ve seen, but challenging for sure. Below is the final result.
Restorations are never going to be 100% perfect, but I can get really close to it. I restore the color, contrast, clarity, and remove all the artifacts and imperfections by hand (or mouse). This particular photo is a 1 x 1.5″ photo, unusually small, which means that this process was done by “copy art”. Copy art is a form of photography that deals with replicating an image for copying purposes. Usually very large photos or paintings and very small photos are done this way. The end result is a high resolution digital image that can then be transferred to Photoshop.
